It is a object with same diameter fitted in between top and bottom glass substrate, its purpose is to ensure the same thickness of LC layers in the cell of LC substrate. According to different Cell gap, the diameter of spacer varies from 2 to 6 um. There are various types of spacer, and it is differentiated into ball spacer and photo spacer.
